Leon Murray, 35, has been found guilty of murdering his ex-girlfriend, Keisha Christodoulou, after she ended their relationship. The verdict was delivered by Wood Green Crown Court.

The court heard that Murray stabbed Christodoulou at least 17 times in their flat at Tanner's Hill, Deptford, on November 1, 2022, a day after she informed him that their relationship was over.

Following the murder, Murray changed his clothes and collected their six-year-old daughter from school. At the school, he informed a staff member, saying "it is done" and that he had "ended" his former partner. Both the staff member and Murray called 999, leading to his immediate arrest.

Detective Inspector Adam Clifton, who led the investigation, highlighted that the jury rejected Murray's defense of diminished responsibility. A post-mortem examination confirmed that Christodoulou died from sharp force trauma to the chest.

Murray is scheduled to be sentenced on June 3 at the same court.
