Steve Harvey Censored on Family Feud After Teasing Contestant’s Surprising Answer
Steve Harvey, the host of Family Feud since 2010, was playfully censored by the game show's producers following a comical interaction with a contestant. During a recent episode, contestant Kate was asked to name someone she doesn’t mind disrobing in front of. Kate promptly answered, "My kids."
Harvey humorously pretended to disrobe, saying, "Hey kids. How y’all doing?" as he mimed taking off a robe. The show's producers added a censor bar over Harvey's crotch area to enhance the comedic effect. Despite the unexpected answer, the audience applauded Kate's candidness. Harvey then jokingly remarked, "You’re going to put your kids in therapy, I’m telling you," to which Kate clarified that her children were babies at the time.
Surprisingly, "my kids/baby" was an answer on the board, with nine other survey respondents comfortable with the same. More common answers included "spouse/lover" and "doctor/nurse." The audience burst into cheers as Kate pointed out her vindicated response. Harvey humorously added, "I don't know how the hell it was on there because I tell you that's the worst answer you could give."
The incident was shared on Family Feud's Instagram, where viewers weighed in with mixed reactions. Some felt the response shouldn’t have been on the board, while others argued that normalizing the human body for young children isn't harmful.
Family Feud, which has been airing since 1976, continues to thrive on surprise answers and comedic moments, pitting two families against each other to guess the most popular responses to survey questions.
