Hacks Renewed for Season 4 on Max

The comedy series "Hacks," featuring Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder, has been renewed for its fourth season on Max, Warner Bros. Discovery's streaming service. The renewal was announced Thursday, following the dramatic release of the Season 3 finale.

"Hacks" stars Jean Smart as Deborah Vance, a legendary Las Vegas comedian, and Hannah Einbinder as Ava Daniels, a young, disgraced comedy writer. The cast also includes Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Megan Stalter, Paul W. Downs, Rose Abdoo, Mark Indelicato, and Kaitlin Olson. The show was created by Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello, and Jen Statsky.

Jean Smart has garnered critical acclaim for her performance, earning two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for the show's first two seasons. Season 3 concluded with a twist, highlighting the complex relationship between Deborah and Ava.
