Rapper Nicki Minaj, 41, was arrested at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport on May 25, 2024, on suspicion of possessing soft drugs. As a result, her scheduled performance at Manchester’s Co-op Live arena that evening was postponed. Fans, who had queued as early as 4am, were sent home in disappointment.

Amsterdam's Ziggo Dome announced on May 28 that Minaj's planned show there on June 2 was cancelled, with refunds available. Minaj blamed her security guard for the "pre-rolls" found in her luggage and accused authorities of searching her bags without consent.

Following her detainment, Minaj suggested on social media that the incident was a deliberate effort to sabotage her tour. Despite the setback, she confirmed a rescheduled Manchester show for June 3.
