Chicago Woman Missing in Bahamas During Yoga Retreat

Taylor Casey, a 41-year-old Chicago resident, has gone missing while attending a yoga retreat on Paradise Island, Bahamas. She was last seen on June 19 at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat. Her family has expressed deep concern over her disappearance.

The Royal Bahamas Police Force issued a missing person alert on June 21, describing Casey as a light-skinned Black woman, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Casey's mother, Colette Seymore, traveled to Paradise Island and Nassau to meet with local authorities. Seymore stated, "We are deeply concerned for Taylor’s safety and well-being. Taylor would never disappear like this."

The retreat organizers reported Casey missing when she failed to attend morning classes on June 20. They have notified the U.S. Embassy and Casey’s family.

Casey is an experienced yoga practitioner who planned to share her retreat experiences upon returning to Chicago. Her family urges anyone with information to contact the Royal Bahamas Police Force.
