The Marchioness of Cholmondeley, Rose Hanbury, has been taking on a more visible role at court amid the Princess of Wales' temporary withdrawal from public life due to cancer treatment. Hanbury, 40, has established a close relationship with Queen Camilla.

Recently, Hanbury was observed curtsying to Queen Camilla at Badminton House in Gloucestershire during the horse trials. Badminton House is owned by the Duke of Beaufort, a family friend.

Further highlighting her prominence, Hanbury's son, Lord Oliver, participated in a service of dedication for the Order of the British Empire at St Paul's Cathedral as a page of honour to King Charles and Queen Camilla. Hanbury's husband, David Cholmondeley, the Marquess of Cholmondeley, serves as a Lord-in-Waiting to the King.

Signaling her respect for royal traditions, Hanbury wore a black, drop-brim hat designed by Lock & Co, a favorite of the Princess of Wales.
