The Ministry of Defence confirmed the strikes targeted drone control facilities and other military assets near Hudaydah and Ghulayfiqah. Rishi Sunak, the UK Prime Minister, emphasized that the operations were carried out in self-defense against the Houthis, who have launched over 50 attacks on shipping since November. This escalation is tied to the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, with the Houthis demanding an end to the war in Gaza.
